I hate geeks

There's always one or two primadonnas in every team. People who are reasonably able, and suddenly imagine themselves to be the most intelligent person in the world. These people are complete dicks, and unfortunately I work with at least two of them on a daily basis.

I know intelligent people when I meet them, intelligence has nothing to do with a person's perception of their own intelligence. Invariably, the people who would blow me away are very unassuming people. In spite of having a degree and a PhD in Comp Sci that would blow most geeks away, I never, ever ever, laud it over anybody else, but some geeks take advantage of that.

Geeks give computing a really bad name. They imagine that every time they open their mouths, they are suddenly saying something very wise, even though it is trivial and stupid. Excuse me for not being engaged.
