Divine guidance?

Should Blair have brought God into the Iraq debate?

Although I would love for divine guidance to work in this way, unfortunately the evidence suggests otherwise. If people really were in communication with God, then there would be consensus on a wide range of religious and moral issues. People even commit suicide bombings because they genuinely feel guided by God in this way. As an atheist, I wish people would stop doing crazy things in the name of God, as it seems clear to me that it is all in the mind.
