Flat inspection
One of the disadvantages of rented accommodation is that the agency comes around and inspects it. Last time we got a letter that we shouldn't keep one of the curtains drawn since it would attract burglars. They should mind their own bloody business!!! Anyway, this involves hiding all traces of parrot, including painting/filling in all the little things (e.g. door-frames) that he's chewed. Then we have to wheel his cage and stand into the garage, and take the bird away somewhere. I'm not even sure we're not allowed a pet! But it's a good excuse to tidy the place a bit more.
